Someone said this book was like "Knives Out." I've never seen Knives Out, but I actually don't want to. So this is supposed to be a detective novel involving queers. It is intriguing but there have been a lot of books about queers. Is this one different? Yes, it spins a suspenseful yarn about an old design house, albeit soap, with the family members keeping secrets within the gates. I mean it place the 1950's when people weren't allowed be themselves. In England you were put in jail, in North America people beat you up. I get the secrecy, and I love a mystery so this book is a success. It's no surprise that I like this book. My favourite shows on TV are: Midsummer Murder, Death in Paradise, Father Brown, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Call the Midwife, Murdoch Mysteries, and Scarlet and the Duke. All these shows have something to do with death and dying.
