I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book going in, but wow did this snippet blow me away! There's an immediate tension with a man accosting a woman at a bar, which the protagonist quickly solves, but we're set upon a new tension that's brought about by their sexuality. I was captivated by the story and immediately wanted to know what was going to happen next.
