I wasn't sure at first if I wanted to read the book. The cover is odd to me, makes it look like a romance novel. Not that those are bad, it just didn't speak mystery to me.
All that said, I can't wait to read more. I'm going to like the 'detective' just by the way the story opens with him coming to a damsel in distress. I like the style of writing too, if flows and seems to have real dialog. Terrific descriptions.
