I was able to read "Lavender House" by Lev AC Rosen on BookishFirst. The book takes place in 1952 and the main character, Evander, has just been fired from his job as a police inspector because he was busted in a raid of a queer bar. He is approached by a woman who would like him to look into her wife's murder. The FirstImpression was enough to make me want to read the entire book.
