Well-Written but a Bit Slow

What I first noticed about this book was the cover. Even though its not the most telling in relation to the plot of the book, I immediately thought it looked so beautiful and wished to pick up the book anyhow. However, when I actually did start reading the preview for the story, I had a bit of trouble reading and connecting with it. The beginning of the story seems to start off a little too slow for my tastes. While it is very well-written, it just didn't capture my attention and I felt a bit underwhelmed.
