I was attracted to this book because of the recommendation by Richard Russo, a writer whose work I have admired because of his sympathetic portrayal of small-town people. The introductory read made me hopeful that Sarah Stonich, a writer new to me, is cast in the same mold. I am keen to know more about Rauri Paar and the other townspeople!
