Any novel arriving with praise from Richard Russo and Leif Enger gets my attention. I’m not disappointed. Plunging immediately into a northern Minnesota morning, the author introduces quirky-but-realistic characters and a missing town legend. I have to know what happened to Rauri, how the wedding went, and where to get cashew bacon brittle!
