Quirky characters in a quirky town living quirky lives

After reading—and LOVING—Virgil Wander by Leif Enger, I am very much open to picking up more “community fiction” (if that’s really a genre) kind of books... quirky characters in quirky towns living quirky lives. When researching this book I read other reviews stating that this book picks up where the author’s pervious book, Vacationland, leaves off. So, if I happen to be one of the lucky few to receive a copy of Laurentian Divide, I will definitely read the previous book before diving into this one.
