The cover art of Laurentian Divide does convey the setting quite well, but I am not sure about the book itself. The focus of the book is one character, Rauri Paar, whose usual appearance in town marks the start of spring. When he does not show, the rumor mill churns out speculation. The book is driven by the town and its inhabitants, trying to figure out what happened. I am usually not a fan of books with this type of focus, so I would be hesitant to recommend Laurentian Divide because of this.
