A lush look into a remote wilderness and small town life

As a native of Minnesota and someone who grew up in a small town, I was excited to check out this story! And I wasn't disappointed with the brief look. While I wasn't a huge fan of the present tense writing style, I was able to get past that in a few pages as the story started laying out the details of Rauri's strange, isolated existence. It was fun reading about remote lakes and boating, things I am very familiar with. Would definitely recommend for readers who enjoy small town narratives or looks into sometimes forgotten wild parts of our nation.
