Wow this book went way beyond my expectations. i have read a handful of true crime but none quite like this one! This one held my interest the entire time. it was so powerful. the history of everything was much needed and well thought out as well. i did feel at the beginning of the book it was pretty heavy and information overload. in the end it did make sense but i wished it had flowed better personally. it is mind blowing how people can treat people and what gay people have been treated like. so for me this was very eye opening and for that i say thank you. it had so much facts and information. which in my thoughts definitely makes for a great true crime novel. even as heartbreaking as they are. it was emotional and raw but just so well written that it made you go wow what he went though. overall i definitely say everyone needs to give this one a read!!!
