As a sister to a gay man, I am always interested in reading books that will help me be a better ally to him. Because I am heterosexual, I will never understand the fear that a gay man must have felt in the 1980s - always having to look over his shoulder, wondering who he could trust with his pure self - and I would love to read an account of those brave men that paved the way for my brother to live in a more accepting world.
