This sounds like a very interesting true crime story. I like stories of real serial killers and the investigation to catch them. It's also important to highlight the victims of the killer and it sounds that this book does that well. A serial killer hitting a vulnerable community, around the same time as the AIDS epidemic sounds horrible.
