After reading the description, I decided to give the excerpt a read. While not all novels need to take you to a happier place, this one really depressed me. I'm not sure that I would enjoy the rest of the novel because the excerpt just left me in a darker place wondering about the twins and their destinies. Two stars. It was okay.
