I found the writing in this first look to be exceptional. I really got a feel for the characters and the setting and the ways in which they interpreted their surroundings differently. I particularly thought that the idea of how twins can diverge in their life paths despite starting out so similar to be intriguing and thought-provoking. I love getting new perspectives and was enthralled with the environment of the first story. I can't wait to see the different types of social commentary on China that Te-Ping Chen will make. I hope to not only learn a bit about Chinese culture and history while also being entertained and enamored with the stories and writing style.
