The collection opens with a story from a narrator whose twin sister Lulu has become a political activist, while the narrator himself is a professional gamer. It was easy to become engrossed in the voice of the narrator and consider the complicated feelings and emotions associated with divergent lifestyle choices of two siblings who not only came from the same home, but also the same womb. They've ended up in such different places yet still remain connected. This story suggests that the book as a whole will include very human stories set in the backdrop of various elements of Chinese society, history, and government. I think this is a fascinating premise and look forward to reading more.
