Perhaps it's just me but from the first page the story is a little offputting. It begins with a character telling about their and their twin's birth. It's told in such a way that it seems that they know exactly what happened right after their birth, a fact that most people wouldn't recall the details.
The chapter is called also called Lulu and I thought that Lulu was the one who was telling the story. However, it ends up being her twin so I was confused and had no desire to read anymore.
