The first short story is told from the perspective of Lulu's twin and describes Lulu's interactions and judgements of the Chinese government. Lulu was always the smartest students, and went to the big city for university. She challenged the current regime and there were consequences. Really interesting perspective, and I'm sure the remaining stories are just as enlightening.
