I will read this book. China has always been interesting and mysterious to me. The story of ordinary people living under such an oppressing regime is fascinating to me. I want to know what happens to this family, the parents hurt by their daughter’s rebellion against the state, costing her all opportunities, the daughter imprisoned for ten years for posting about protests and the narrator/son who becomes a chef but whose passion is gaming. Can’t wait to read this.
