I love when you don't expect to like something, and end up loving it instead. After reading the synopsis for Land of Big Numbers I expected it to be too heavy and depressing instead. And while the subject matter is very serious, the writing is so good and flows so well that it makes the subject matter (which is heavy) easily digestible. Wish I had enough points to claim this.
