I enjoyed reading about modern Chinese thoughts/culture

I think the first short story was original and the plot moves at a pretty fast pace. The writing still provided enough context/information to keep us on track so I was never lost or felt like something was missing. If I'm reading the book description correctly, this book is a collection of short stories so all of them will be fast paced. I don't mind that but as with most short stories, it can be left open-ended for interpretation. I like more closure and stories with solid endings but I wouldn't mind reading these short stories. It was really interesting to read about what the modern Chinese thoughts/culture is like from the younger generation's perspective to their parents, society, and the government. I bet there will be lots of topics/controversies that will be mentioned.
