I didn't know if I would be interested in this book but I absolutely was. The relationship between Lulu and her brother is fascinating and sweet. I also found their relationship with their parents to be interesting, particularly how Lulu is her parent's pride and joy until she isn't. The activist in Lulu is inspiring while also making me nervous for what will happen to her. This seems like a really powerful book.
