The first thing in the cover that brought my attention towards the book, is the color orange. The disgn has a lot of typefaces, colors, texture, patterns, and hierarchy. Which have been managed in a very flattering and elegant way. I like the cover, it's inspiring, it invites the viewers to read what it is about to understand it further, and most importantly it's very nice to look at. What I like the most of it is how the continents are displayed on top on eachother without taking the whole space in the page. As a designer and reader I'd give this cover 4.5/5.
In terms of the story, it just screams action, and dystopia. It is about a diverse and legion chinese people, who's history and government has been violently tumbled into the present. The story focuses on the life of characters within this society, and even more interestingly about twins who take different paths in life. This story sounds very interesting, not something I would read, but would definitely give a look at. For the story so far I'd give it 4/5.
