Fantasy is a genre I have been really enjoying during the past several months, and I have definitely found a new favorite with Lakesedge! I flew through this book much faster than I was expecting, and I was captivated by the plot after the first few chapters. I didn't want to put the book down, and I loved reading about Violeta and Rowan trying to fix the darkness surrounding them. Although Violeta annoyed me at times because she refused to listen to anyone, she did grow on me, especially as she and Rowan got closer. The romance made me want to cry, and I can't wait to see what happens in the sequel, although I am nervous about the direction in which the story could potentially go. I'm still so mad about that ending (in the best way possible)! I would recommend picking this book up if you’re looking to get into fantasy and enjoy a good, spooky read.
