I was drawn to this book because of the beautiful cover and once I read the description, I had to read it. This is such a good book for those who love gothic-style books. I will say that the main character did bug me a bit in the beginning but as the story went on, I liked her more and more.
This book has a mixture of horror and romance and it instantly made me yearn for fall and the colder weather. The atmosphere that the author is able to create is amazing and I felt like I was there. The monsters and the other secondary characters were really well rounded and developed. I didn't feel like there were any plain or two-dimensional characters.
I think this is going to be a great book to re-read when the weather gets colder and it's closer to Halloween. I really enjoyed this one and cannot wait for book 2 because of the way this one ended! Thank you again for a copy!
