The cover art for this book immediately caught my eye. I also love the chapter heading designs as the book begins - so pretty! The opening line gripped me right away, and I can already tell this is a book that will land a spot on my TBR! The writing style of the author doesn't immediately draw me in and the aspect of a sister protecting her brother is a trope that I feel has been overdone lately in YA. These aspects of the first impression dampen my interest slightly.
