This book checked off everything on my heart’s list of “Ideal YA Gothic Story”. The cover is mysterious and alluring. The plot is exciting and captive; you need to know how it ends. As someone with younger siblings, Violeta’s desire to protect her younger sibling deeply resonated with me. I am incredibly curious to see where that devotion will take the pair, and how all of this pans out!
