I was definitely surprised by the creepiness of this book from the get-go. Though I was a bit taken aback, I did like the author’s immediate thrust into the horror genre; she is letting the reader know right away what they are getting themselves into. I am curious to learn more about the town and setting in which this story takes place. I hope that as the tale progresses, we learn more about this darkness as well as the dynamic of society.
