First of all, I am so thankful to Bookish First for the sweepstakes win of Kiss & Tell. I have loved Adib Khorram’s writing since Darius The Great Is Not Okay so when I heard of a new standalone novel, I became immediately excited.

Kiss & Tell is about Hunter who’s recently broken up with his boyfriend. While on tour, he gets a spotlight shone on him as an openly gay member. I loved the unique telling of Kiss & Tell as social media was dispersed throughout. I really felt for Hunter and how he had to deal with the label trying to control him. This seems like such a realistic aspect that would happen for gay teens.

As Hunter gets into a relationship with Kaivan, the dummer of the supporting act band, his relationship and sexuality become more under scrutiny. Something I loved about Kiss & Tell is how Hunter was called out whether that was by his fellow bandmates as not being the only marginalized person in the group to Kaivan for calling out things the band did for credit.
