Kiss & Tell is the story of boyband member Hunter Drake as his personal life is suddenly shared online contradicting the "perfect" gay boy he had been portraying in the band.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved how it went beyond cute and funny to also being serious and focusing on the impacts of identity and stereotypes. The style of writing allowed these transitions to happen very naturally and showed how the book really modeled itself after real life concerns. One thing to mention though is to not come into the book expecting it to be a cute rom-com, that is not what this book is!

One of my favorite things about the story was the different types of media included in between the different chapters such as news stories and interviews. These different pieces added to the big picture of the story as they allow the reader to better understand things going on outside of Hunter's point of view by focusing on other events in the story or by being about other characters.

One thing I wish the story had more of is a focus on the other characters outside of those directly involved with Hunter. There are four other members in the boyband, but at the end of the story I still found myself struggling to remember all of their names. While this is Hunter's story explaining the focus on him, I wish we had been able to spend a little more time with the other members of Kiss and Tell.

Overall, I really loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a book not only about boybands but also identity.
