Kiss and Tell is an incredible opening to an undoubtedly, equally terrific story. The author does a great job of endearing us to the characters and informing the reader of the situation in a way that is entertaining and engaging.

Who doesn't like boy bands, honestly? And if we talk about this particular one, Kiss and Tell, it's a five-member boy band of friends and classmates that are on their first tour. I think it's important to note the diversity and well-done representation that the author brought to this story. We have characters from different ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, and sexuality. But most of all, the author doesn't confine them to their identities but lets us see them as people with complex personalities.

The author also captures the anxiety, angst, and mindset of a teenager with ease. We see our main character, Hunter Drake for who he truly is, with his strong character voice.

The author establishes the conflict right away. We find out that Hunter is still reeling from a breakup with Aiden Nightingale, his best friend and bandmate's twin brother. It's a big deal in the media and Hunter is also clearly struggling with it, as well always being handed out as a stereotypical token gay member.

He is also his band's main songwriter but is facing terrible writer's block, and has more than enough on his plate within a very attractive Kaivan Parvani, a member of another band that's opening for Kiss and Tell.

The story has a perfect hook and it's impossible to not be intrigued and want to know more!
