The writing style is simplistic, and I think it draws me in well enough. The concept isn't exceptionally unique, but also not common and something I'm interested in seeing. Also, I'm already tiring of the I-get-I'm-cis-white-gay-and-privileged things: Be more subtle with the social commentary! Like the scene where Hunter mentions the kids being flown in from Africa (without even knowing where in Africa), and Kaivan points out how screwed up that is. That was a good critique of privilege, rather than the identity reminders. Overall, this isn't exactly the Great American Novel TM, but it seems like a juicy romp that hopefully won't fall into too many cliches.
