I’ll start off this First Impression by noting that this isn’t the type of story I’d normally read. I don’t typically like reading books which explicitly depict sex, which this book seems VERY likely to do in future chapters, but I can’t deny that this sneak peek made me very curious. The author has a very clear, addictive voice that introduces readers to this story’s main characters and conflict all within the first two chapters. Such chapters already prove that the characters are interesting, with aspects of their backstory being hinted at in an effective manner that grabbed my attention and made me attached already. This author clearly knows what she’s doing. Though the subject matter is not something I would typically read, it’s writing is something that I can definitely appreciate!
On another note, I absolutely love this book cover. It stays in line with the characterization of the main character while also hinting at the romance to come. Very nice!
