So many romance novels are based on the premise that men are terrible people and they will be stand offish and the women need to just accept that behavior. I like that The Kiss Quotient turns that around a little. The female lead has Aspergers. It's not quite equality because the men are usually jerks and here there's an excuse for the behavior.

Even though it uses Aspergers and the current term is Autism Spectrum Disorder, it's great to see a novel exploring the disorder as a normal everyday thing. While I don't enjoy romance novels, we need this.
