Right off the bat there were three characters who bothered me. A lot. Stella's mom, Stella's co-worker, and Michaels' dad.
The character of Stella being economically intelligent intrigues me as I am invested in whether she is going to become socially adept and able to find a passion in her life other than her work.
The excerpt for Michael doesn't give me a clear idea if I'm going to be invested in a good outcome for him.
If I could get past the three characters I already intensely dislike, I might find this book an enjoyable read.
