I'm not sure this one is for me...

While I appreciate the premise of this book (it reminds me a bit of "The Rosie Project," in that an unconventional character seeks to understand the complexity of relationships in culture), I'm not sure I'm enjoying the actual execution. This feels a bit anti-feminist, and I'm concerned with how the main character, as someone on the autism spectrum, is going to be perceived. Also, there seem to be some frightening stereotypes going on culturally. I want to be excited about this book and its characters, but everything about it has me feeling extra cautious.

On the other hand, the cover is beautiful! Blue/turquoise book covers always catch my eye, and this one is no exception.
