Stella feels like an actual person and not one of those females that are usually in a romance novel who acts strong and tough until the man comes along so they can be weak. Michael feels like he might be a little flat, but with more introduction of his back story that could change.
Overall, this is a seriously strong first impression and I enjoyed every single word of it. If the book can maintain this pace throughout it's definitely going to be a great one. I'm enjoying the fact that this was written by someone on the spectrum and is about someone on the spectrum, which might also be helping to differentiate Stella from the rest of the females in romance books.
