This book gave me all kinds of emotions from sad to happy. Understanding what the two teenagers are going through is easy to feel. One hopelessly in love with a friend that does not share his feelings, it's easy to see what's coming in the storyline. I found myself relating to the emotional turmoil of not getting what you want at the time as well. Main point to the book is that you can't run away from your destiny, no matter how hard you try. You don't always get what you want, but what you need instead. My heart was breaking as the two characters have to face their own fears and go to the path they need. Throw in the messed up childhood for one of the characters and this is a solid read. Bless the other family for stepping and taking this child under their wing and making him feel love. I had this as a child as other adults helped me too when I needed it. This may be a teen romance story, but there is more to the story. I enjoyed this one, I hope you do as well.
