This was such a great read. Just what I was in the mood for, something warm and cozy that made me feel good. I am not usually a big fan of the friends to lovers trope, but in this instance I found that I really enjoyed it. Maybe it was the turmoil and cultural impacts on the friendship itself, or maybe it was that they were never really "just friends" but this played right into what I needed out of this book. Throw in the Indian American culture and it was fantastic.

I loved watching both the main characters develop through the book, which the dual perspective chapters only helped enhance. While sometimes I can find that a bit jarring, in this case it helped the flow of the story and did not hinder my ready experience at all. It was nice to hear both characters inner thoughts at times and helped me understand where they were coming from.

I cannot wait to see what else this author puts out, and she has made her way to my must read list of authors.
