I was really excited to read this book after enjoying the preview. It was a very intriguing premise but for me it was a miss. There was nothing inherently problematic with it. However I felt it was so slow and honestly I grew so bored and did not finish it after after 150 pages in. I am a huge fan of Ali Hazelwood who gave a glowing endorsement on the cover, so I was surprised at how uninteresting it was to me. I did enjoy the cover artwork—and I enjoyed learning the author is going to med school to be an osteopath.
I do appreciate Bookish and the author for sending me this book. I have a Little Free Library, so even though the Kismat Connection is not my cup of tea, it will go in my Little Library with the hope that some young reader will choose it and enjoy it. Bookish has been a great resource of a variety of books to stock my library. This is one of the few misses.
