I am not much of a Romance reader, but since I got an opportunity to come across this through BookishFirst, I wanted to like it. It is sweet and warm at some points, but also cringy at many others. This could also be because I am a millennial, and this seemed more like a Gen Z book. Might suit better for the younger audience.
Madhuri Iyer is doomed to have a happily ever after with her very FIRST boyfriend, but she is determined to break this curse. So, she tries to get in a fake dating situation with Arjun Mehta, with whom she is confident she will never fall in love.
I didn't really connect with a character and so found this bit cringy at some points. The dialogues between the sisters were good, but the ones between the main characters were weird. This was not my cup of tea.
Someone who is a regular Romance reader and prefers and easy-read, might like it. It is not too complex and moves at a faster pace. Good for simp-lovers!
