Kismat Connection is a story about a family curse and a girl determined to break it. Madhuri Iyer is doomed to a happily ever after with her first boyfriend and her upcoming senior year is set to be a complete failure. To circumvent the curse, Madhuri starts a relationship with her childhood best friend, Arjun.

This was a really interesting book, that I enjoyed overall. I'm not the biggest fan of fake dating, and I don't think it worked well here since it was basically over before it even started. Arjun has unrequited feelings for Madhuri, and she doesn't see him as anything more than a friend. Both the characters didn't seem extremely flushed out and I didn't see a lot of development in either of them. That being said, I loved seeing the cultural aspects and the diversity that was in this book. I don't think this would be considered the best book of all time, but it was a cute book.
