I was so happy to receive this book. I have just finished a matchmaking show based in India on Netflix and was desperate for more of a similar vibe. This book is very sweet and the characters are well developed and relatable. I love the cultural aspects of the novel. They were well explained and I felt like I was learning and enjoying the story at the same time. The cover has that cartoon style that is so popular in romantic comedy books these days and so I think it will receive some notice. Sadly, as a librarian I have noticed diverse romantic comedy books don't do as well as they should. It is a total shame because books are a great way to build understanding and empathy for people. I wish more people would read books with characters that look nothing like them and are from cultures they know nothing about because then it would open more eyes to the beauty that is the entire world.
