A Miss for Me

I was really excited for this one (I'm a sucker for a character that has been in love with their best friend forever), but it didn't live up to standards.

This was a fairly short book so it's expected that some aspects of it would feel rushed. Even with this knowledge, I felt like the book had an odd pacing. We jumped right into things in the beginning and then the romance felt like it was moving along slowly and then all of a sudden moved super fast in a matter of a few pages. It was very strange.

Also, the plot was kinda...boring? I was forcing myself to keep going forward, but I was not into it. There was a real opportunity to take this fake dating trope we love so much and add a unique flair of astrology and Indian culture to it. Unfortunately, I was too busy trying to push through the book to appreciate these things.

Overall, this was a miss for me which I'm so sad about.
