As an Indian American, I always love to see myself represented in media, and one of my favorite instances of that is whenever there is an Indian American character in a novel. This book is definitely going to do Indian Americans like myself justice. I really like the writing style, it feels very authentic to how a teenager would speak. I also enjoyed that the discussion of culture doesn't feel like info-dumping; it's purposeful but also worked into the novel really well. I like how one character is very in touch with their roots, and another isn't, because it sets up an important journey of self-discovery for both of them. I'm really liking the Kismat Connection so far; I can't wait to read it!
