I read this book at the beginning of the month and I still freaking love it. Harrison is an anxiety ball that is made worst knowing his best friend is leaving for South Carolina. Linus is torn up because he doesn't want to lose his best friend in the world.

Y'know how some authors write a love letter to New York? R. Eric Thomas has written his love letter to Baltimore in Kings of B'more. Many natives will recognize locations the characters are in and most likely feel pride of their city being described so lovingly.

I love that this book takes place mostly over one day, a day full of history, trying new things, and PRIDE. I really want to go to the African American museum of History in DC after reading both Harrison's and Linus' reactions to the feeling of the museum.

There are some parts of the book that some readers might not enjoy, such as the overabundance of Hamilton references (Harrison is a musical nerd), random micro-aggressions, and talk of gun-violence at the end. Be aware when reading.
