Interesting
Kings of B'More by R. Eric Thomas is quite interesting. My review is based on the First Look excerpt and is not a review of the full book or advanced reader's copy (ARC). Ultimately, this was a well executed coming of age story set in Baltimore. I liked the characters and thought that the author did a good job if making them relatable and likeable. I found myself interested in what was going on with them and wanting to read more to see what would happen. The setting was described very well, so I could visualize scenery while reading and visualize the characters interacting with their environment. Pacing is important for a story to flow well. In reading this except, I felt as though the author did a good job with the pacing and I was able to move through the story without wanting to skim read or skip pages. Overall, I liked this book and would recommend it.
