Harrison and Linus are best friends with a twist. They decide to go on an adventure based on Ferris Bueller's Day Off and it is entertaining to the reader in the beginning! The author's writing style is smooth, the words flow and there is nothing to distract the reader as they zoom through the pages....until the reader reaches the part where the fun and joy ends and the racism, and heavy issues begin. The book takes a darker twist that the reader wasn't expecting or that they weren't thinking was going to happen. It isn't the carefree story that the reader was expecting...and there weren't too many similarities to Ferris Bueller as the story keeps going.

The reader doesn't get the carefree vibe that they were hoping for and the story just gets heavy. This reader had to stop reading a few times and read something else to be able to continue. This one had the potential to be amazing but as the book continued it just continued to fall flat for me. An ok book, but not a favorite.
