Long time friends Linus and Harrison throughout they would be able to take on the rest of high school together from standardized tests to the beginning of adult hood. This dream comes quickly to the end when Linus reveals he will be moving out of state very very soon.
This inspires Harrison to plan a going away extravaganza with calls to Ferris Bueller's Day Off. With a fun read focusing on the importance of power and friendship, Linus and Harrison show glimpses of what it is like being black youth in America while also focusing on LGBTQ+ topics.
One thing that really stood out to me about this book was the wide cast of characters that were so well developed. I loved reading about these characters and how well they built up the world of the story. Thomas does a great job with diverse representation and covering issues of racism and abandonment.
