This is not a book I would choose to read based on its plot, and unfortunately, the first look did not change my mind. I actually like young adult novels even as an adult, but the writing style seemed to be for the actual young or young adult audience (as opposed to the 'old' adult who enjoys YA). I definitely think there is an audience for it, but it is not targeted to me.
